Observability is a very overloaded term. It's used in various places but the definition is not very precise from an SRE perspective


Along with alerting, lots of people think they know what observability means. Some people do. However, the vast majority of people get confused with the term because of its widespread use across multiple disciplines. Let's discuss Observability from an SRE perspective and maybe we can help you get at the stuff you really care about
